Ventura Boulevard has been the most prominent strip in the San Fernando Valley for over 50 years. This unique “Melrose of the Valley” stretches for almost ten miles but is the busiest and most traveled from Tarzana to Studio City. This lively strip offers visitors shops of all kinds including unique and eccentric establishments as well as first-class restaurants of all cultures and tastes. Boutiques like Fred Segal, Dari, Marc Jacobs, Matthew Williamson and Me & Ro, just to name a few, draw visitors from all over the Valley and parts of Los Angeles. At nighttime, the boulevard comes alive with lights and activity with many young people cruising the strip. The culture found along this famous strip is profuse and undeniable.
The Braemar Country Club in Tarzana offers two regulation 18- hole courses. The West Course is hillier than the East Course and has tree-lined fairways that are extremely narrow. On the West Course, water comes in to play on two holes. The East Course is designed similarly to the West Course but with flatter terrain. Water comes in to play on five holes on the East Course. Both courses have small greens that are medium speed. This course is one of the many operated by the Country Clubs of America.
